On this course you’ll get the basic skills of creating plaster molds for use in ceramics. By using molds, you’ll be able to produce symmetrical pieces in any quantity without a potter’s wheel!
Course Program: ✨ Class 1: Molds for slab forming and decorative elements. ✨ Class 2: Single-piece molds for pressing/slip casting. ✨ Class 3: Using ready-made molds (handbuilding a chamotte plate using slab forming and slip casting a porcelain cup).
You’ll also learn how to choose and mix plaster, prepare slip for casting, and much more useful information.
An optional additional class on glazing the finished pieces is available.
